Weng Jijun (born in 1955, Shanghai) graduated from the School of Fine Arts at Jiangxi Normal University in 1981 and later pursued advanced studies at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1994. He currently lives and works in Shanghai. He serves as the Director of the Lacquer Painting Committee of the Shanghai Artists Association, Professor at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, and a member of the Expert Committee on the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Shanghai.

His works are held in the collections of prominent institutions, including the Art Museum of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Guangzhou Museum, Fujian Art Museum, the Chinese Olympic Committee, and the Shanghai World Expo Executive Committee.
